ARE YOU SEEKING ADVICE?

NREC mainly offers advice and assistance in the following areas of work:
  • If you feel you may have been subject to discrimination, harassment or abuse - you do not at this stage have to prove it to us or have clear evidence to receive advice from us
  • Immigration and nationality matters (but not if you are an asylum-seeker or refugee, although we may be able to refer you to someone who can advise on these matters)
If you would like advice from us you need to meet our criteria for support. This can be broadly summarised as:
  • You live and/or work in Northamptonshire.
  • You are seeking advice on issues relating to discrimination, hate crime and harassment or immigration and nationality matters
If you want advice, or to make an appointment to discuss you situation, you can
  • e-mail us on: JLIB_HTML_CLOAKING , or
  • Telephone and other details can be found on the Office Details page
  • or call into our office to make an appointment
In discrimination or harassment cases it is very important to receive advice as early as possible - do not leave a situation to get worse before you contact us!

Before contacting us you may find the following policies of the REC of interest (click to view):

  • Our "Standards of Service/Clients Charter"
  • Casework Policy
Copies of these policies should be given to you at your first interview, if appropriate.

You may also find the following leaflet of interest (click to view):

  • What to do about Abuse or Harassment at work
Northamptonshire REC is a member of AdviceUK, the Law Centres Federation and is also quality marked with the Community Legal Service and registered with the Office of the Immigration Services Commission.
